Rights Revision #AtoZChallenge2015

Rating: PG-13

Rylee was coming unglued. There was no two ways about it.

He. Was. Having. A. Cow.

“Do they think I’m an idiot?” He asked not pausing long enough for Reed to answer. “Seriously, do they really think I won’t sue their goddamn asses?” Rylee paced the entire length of the room nearly tripping over the rug.

Reed knew better than to try and intervene. He was going to sit on the sofa like a good boy and let his boyfriend rant and rave.

“I’m so calling my lawyer!” Rylee exclaimed with a stomp of his foot. Reed rolled his eyes. He was Rylee’s lawyer but he wasn’t going to remind Rylee of that, least not right now. “That tiny ass publisher won’t know what him them by the time I’m done with them.” Reed opened his mouth to agree but Rylee cut him off. “I’ll twist them so far inside out they’ll be eating with their ass and shitting with their mouth.” Reed grimaced, what a terrible mental picture. “It’d fit!” Rylee pointed at Reed like he was the offending party. “Nothing but shit comes out their mouth anyway!”

Reed leaned father back into the sofa back and blinked. “You scare me.”

Rylee paused and looked at Reed like he forgot Reed was there. “I scare you?” He put his hands in his hips and huffed.

Reed nodded.

“Little ‘ol author me scares big ‘ol defense attorney you?”

“First off,” Reed held up one finger, “there isn’t anything little about you and second,” he held up another finger, “you’re scary.”

Rylee shook his head and rolled his eyes. His massive six foot form loomed closer. “Scary am I?”

“All tatted up and pushy. Scary as hell.” Reed said with a smirk. They’d met when Reed took on a case and showed up at the jail. When he walked into the room he saw Rylee and a petite blond woman. To say he was shocked when the woman turned out to be his murder client and not Rylee was an understatement.

Rylee let out a full belly laugh. “Thanks. I needed that.”

Reed smiled. “Any time.”
