Kyle’s insides twisted on themselves as another knock resonated throughout his apartment. With a sigh, Kyle answered the door to find Kota, the most beautiful creature he’s ever seen, standing at his door. “Long time no see.” Kota said and stepped in to give Kyle a kiss.

Tingles raced through Kyle’s body. He loved this man but he knew his feelings would never be returned. Kota was an escort he hired every week for over three years even when he couldn’t afford it. If Kota was with him then the man wasn’t with anyone else. As for the rest of the week… Kyle didn’t want to think about it.

“I have to talk to you about something.” Kota said causing Kyle’s insides to drop in way only those words could. “I have another client,” Logically Kyle knew Kota did but to hear twisted a knife in his gut, “who wants to hire me for the entire summer. I’d be going with him on his extended overseas vacation.”

Kyle wanted to vomit. “I see.” Was all he could say.

“I wanted to give you amply warning.” Kota sounded off. Was he expecting Kyle to say something else? Something more? Kyle wasn’t sure but it wasn’t his place. He hired Kota and that was all.

“I want you to stay with me.” Where had that come from? Kyle didn’t know and he couldn’t take the words back. Even if he could, Kyle didn’t think he’d want to.

Something change in Kota’s face. His expression softened and a small smirk made him look younger. “Really?”

“Of course I do.”

“Good because there is no other client.” Kota stepped closer washing his cologne over Kyle.

Kyle stood stunned. “There isn’t?”

Kota shook his head no. “Hasn’t been for awhile now.” He leaned in teasing Kyle with an almost kiss. “I wanted to know if you’d ask me to stay.”

Kyle swallowed. Was it hot in here? “And if I hadn’t?”

“Then I’d have serious mixed feelings about telling you I love you.” Kota kissed him. It wasn’t a passionate kiss but it was full of tenderness.

“I love you too.”
