Jinx sat in the window seal, her tail twitching in irritation. Her human, Johann, was snuggling with It again. Jinx heaved a breath and licked her paw then swiped it over her face only to repeat the process.

She needed to relax and plot her evil plan. It, or Jyler, as her human called him had to go. He took up too much of her human’s time and smelled like another cat. That just wouldn’t do. This was her kingdom.

Her human and It started putting their faces together and making those strange sounds again.

Jinx licked her lips, her tail twitched, and hoped down from the seal. She jogged over to them, her bell ringing, and hoped up. She put her paws on her human’s chest. “Meow.” She nudged his jaw and began purring.

“Hey.” Her human said and started petting her right behind her ears. His petting felt so good Jinx briefly forgot why she’d been so irritated.

“She’s such a beautiful cat.” There It was. It began petting her and her tail began to twitch anew.

The scent of another cat coated her beautiful coat. She hissed and swatted at the foreign hand barely missing with her sharp claws.

“Bad girl!” Her human said.

“Reow!” Johann picked her up by the middle and got up. “Meow?” He walked her to the laundry room and plopped her atop the dryer.

“Now you sit here and think about what you did.” Her human left, shutting the door.

Jinx’s ears flattened and her tail swathed back and forth. She has to get rid It and fast.
