Ezra didn’t know what he was doing, couldn’t he see that? Coming out wouldn’t just effect him, it would effect Elazer as well. Everything would change. His life would be over. Elazer wasn’t sure if Ezra was worth it.

He glanced at the man in question. Ezra was on the floor with Elazer’s niece, Elayne, coloring something he couldn’t quite make out but, whatever it was, was an array of color so bright he was sure no creature could compare. The two laughed and Ezra said something that lit up Elayne’s face. Ezra glanced his way and winked with a full smile. His heart sped up and his breathing hitched, if only for a moment.

Elazer smiled back while something clicked into place. Elazer was worth it and so much more.
