Absolutely Average #AtoZChallenge2015
Adan sat there with a complete and utter lack of self-confidence. He was just average.
Nothing special about him. Hell, he didn’t even have a special skill. Sure he could paper mache just about anything in existence but that wasn’t anything special. If it was then his cousin with mental disabilities was just as special as him. Wait, did he just insult himself?
Adan looked up not expecting the person to be talking to him (no stranger ever talked to him) but lo-and-behold a stranger was. He looked around then behind himself fully expecting this very handsome gentlemen to be talking to someone else. “Um, me?”
The man smiled. It was the most brilliant smile Adan had ever seen. “Si, you. I was wondering if you could help me. I am looking for this address.” The man held out a piece of paper to him. He had an accent that did wicked things to Adan’s senses. “I speak English okay but reading it is a different story.” The man’s head leaned to the side in a coy gesture.
Adan took the offered paper without a word and glanced down. He blinked. “This is my address. Why are you looking for me?”
The man’s eyes lit up. “You are MacheKing?”
Adan blinked. “Um, yeah.” It was then Adan realized he had his address on Facebook and he instantly felt like a complete moron for it.
“I am Azul Antoine owner of Arts Artisan. I had wanted to talk to about showcasing some of your work in my gallery in Vienna. May I?” The man, Azul, sat without confirmation from Adan. Not that Adan could give it to him.
He sat slack-jawed. “You what?”
Azul’s smile turned into a closed mouth smirk and in that moment Adan knew he was doomed. Whether in a good or bad way only time would tell.
