Little Life #AtoZChallenge

“Isn’t he precious, Lane?” Locke couldn’t get enough of their newest addiction. He was addicted and they only had him a day.

Lane smiled and sighed. He had the goofiest, happiest look on his face. “We’re going to make great parents.”

“Loren is a lucky little guy.” He said and picked up their new addiction swaddled in a blanket.

“I wanna hold him!” Lane did a little dance like a petulant child. “You’ve hogged him the entire time.”

Locke scoffed despite the fact that Lane had a point. “You snooze you loose.”

“We’re just going to need two. One for you, one for me.”

Locke perked up. “I’m okay with that.”

Lane snatched his keys and opened the door, holding it open for Locke. “Back we go.”

“You mean now?” Locke blinked in shock.

“Yes,” Lane ushered him out the door, “right now. It’s not fair. Besides, we want them to grow up together.”

Lane walked over to the car and climbed inside. “You hear that, Loren? You get a little brother or sister.” The little puppy in his arms squirmed and looked at him with the biggest brown eyes ever.

Locke climbed inside and started the car. “God, he’s so damn cute.”

Loren arfed and licked Locke’s jaw. “And we get another one.”
