Ian and Ivan came to a stop at the top of the hill, their chests heaving. Sweat tickled down Ian’s back. “Good run.”
Ivan nodded and pointed back down. “Easier this way.”
Ian nodded then sat down and looked over the city below. “Romantic up here, isn’t it?”
His best friend laughed and sat next to him. “Is this a date?”
“Hell, nah!” Ian shoved Ivan away when all he wanted to do was hold the other man in his arms.
They’d only known each other for little over a year but he felt like he’d known Ivan his entire life. Their friendship was intense, together almost everyday, doing something. They just moved in together as roommates two weeks ago and both worked for the same gym as personal trainers.
To Ian it felt like a relationship without physical intimacy when passion was all he wanted.
Ian noticed how Ivan flinched. “Good.” Was all Ivan said before he went quiet. Was Ian imagining the hurt on Ivan’s face? Ian mentally slapped himself. Of course he was. There was no way Ivan felt anything for him other than friendship.
